5 Cents Queso and Chips All Day at Participating Taco Bueno Locations

Today is Spanish holiday known as Cinco de Mayo, which translates to the fifth of May.

Many area restaurants are honoring this day with advertised specials:

  • Local chain El Fenix is in the middle of its "5 Days of Deals" special for Cinco de Mayo. Thursday, May 2: $2 Coors Light pint draft; Friday, May 3: $3 large Dos Equis draft; Saturday, May 4: $4 house margarita; Sunday, May 5: $5 appetizer combo. Dine-in only.
  • Taco Bueno is debuting a new version of their queso and will be selling it for just 5 cents on May 4 and May 5. Proceeds for the queso sales will go toward local food banks, and Taco Bueno will match all sales from the new queso as well.
  • Digg's Taco Shop, which has locations in Arlington and Highland Park, is celebrating Cindo de Mayo by offering $1 off of their traditional house margarita, $2 chicken and pork tacos and free chips and salsa with any purchase.
  • Celebrate a little too hard on Cinco de Mayo? Taco Cabana can help. The popular fast-casual food chain is giving one free breakfast taco on May 6 in hopes of making your hungover morning commute a little more enjoyable. To get the free taco, you have to print the coupon over at Taco Cabana's Facebook or Twitter page.
